Tonight I attended the Finfish committee concerning the federal closure on June 20th for Cobia. This meeting was to make recommendations for the Marine Fisheries Commission to consider, and make a decision in regard to Cobia regulation. If you have any interest in Cobia please contact your state representatives, commission members, and the division of Marine Fisheries. It’s a shame to see a perfectly healthy fishery stated in the federal stock assessment to even have to experience this hardship. Throw the false science out the window and let’s go fishing.
